1. Turn Off the lights
Before you leave your car be sure that your interior lights are off. Double check that your electric components are off so they do not needlessly drain your battery while the car is not in use.
2. Use Your Car as Much as Possible
Always try your best to start your car and drive it as frequently as you can. Leaving a car in a garage or driveway for long periods of time without driving it can slowly compromise the battery and drain it.
3. Get A New One Every Three Years
If all the other tips fail, or you keep finding yourself pressed for time to do them, changing your battery every four years is the easiest way to make sure you never have to deal with a dead battery. Always speak to your mechanic about car battery service and which battery is the best for your model and year.

If you think your battery might be near its end, you can always bring it to a mechanic for car battery service. A professional can check to see if you need a need battery, or if your battery is good to go. You can always request this be done while your car is in for maintenance as well.
